Trials

After a five year absence today I entered the Staffordshire county tenpin bowling trials. As Staffs doesn’t have a sanctioned bowling centre the trials were held in Warwickshire!! All went well for four games and I was lying in third place, then disaster struck and a friend’s 16 pound bowling ball fell 2 feet onto my left foot (toes). Lots of ice applied but no way I could bowl again. Still throbbing now and it’s elevated to stop it swelling too much. Now waiting to see if I have still qualified for the team with dispensation for my accident!!
