Line of Poplars

These trees always stand out as I drive past on the A5.  They're planted perpendicular to the road, but on a high point from the surrounding countryside.  I always wonder why the land owner decided to plant them but it's probably too late to ask.

I spent most of the day in the office, before a couple of visits on the way home.  I'd had 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, something of a lie in by my standards.  Perhaps the games of badminton on Tuesday evening had tired me out.
