Cornwall Park sunset
Back blip as we went out soon after I got home from work and got home late after having dinner at the Zookeeper's Son, and then went to the observatory in Cornwall Park to enjoy a sound and light show called The Dark Side of the Moon. Used music from Pink Floyd, and we watched light effects on the ceiling of the Star Dome.
The restaurant called The Zookeeper's Son is in the building which was both the Zookeeper's home and offices etc for the Zoo. Other uses included a hospital for WW1 casualties brought home to Auckland, and a morgue, For the last about 15 years it has been a restaurant/sports bar. The extra is a portrait of the Zookeeper and his two sons.
The blip was taken as we filled in some time between ending our meal and going to the show. Long time since I've seen such a dramatic sunset.
