Oo-er missus!

Kettners, the old Soho restaurant is now owned by Soho House and they have beautifully restored it. I took Waleed and Joana, actor/producer to lunch there to discuss our Lebanese set project, which is quivering on an amber light.  I think if this latest funding doesn’t come through though, we have probably run out of road.  They are moving round the world, filming now in Turkey and then coming to London to film in the summer.  Actors, in work, can become almost nomadic these days. 

V back from LA so it was nice to come home to him in the house, cooking supper.  We watched a first episode of the new Mary & George and another One Day.  Finished my book The New Life by Tom Crewe, an interesting fictionalisation of a real life 19th Century story.  Started a pot boiler that someone has suggested we buy the rights for as they are about to lapse with someone else.
