Pause in the preening

Heard a Kereru flying past, and went outside to look for it. Not visible so I walked around looking up into other trees. Had just decided it was hidden or i'd been mistaken, when I again heard the flight overhead of a Kereru. This time I spotted it straight away, as it preened on a moderately high branch. One of my four shots was in focus and showing the Kereru's head. Took our grand-daughter out to look at it. 

The extra is a Warou (welcome swallow) seen on my walk
