Water Woes

The utilities infrastructure under our road is very old, and in need of constant repair. We’ve had multiple water leaks at this location, with the road dug up repeatedly. Just as we thought things were beginning to improve, the road had to be dug up again in exactly the same place for some major gas repair work.

That was completed a few days ago, the large hole was filled in, the road re-covered with tarmac, and the yellow line was re-instated.

The very next day … guess what? Smithers spotted multiple water leaks at that very spot again, so Thames Water have been back and had to dig another great big hole. And so the saga continues.
