Mr. And Mrs. House Finch

Since today was supposed to be for driving to Virginia Beach, our calendar was empty. I made breakfast rolls, did a load of laundry and general house work. This pair of finch kept me company. They were joined by cow birds, robins, juncos, chickadees, song sparrows, cardinals, and our newest visitor, the kinglet. My sister and I went through our grocery list one last time. Her hubby is really sick again. Hopefully he’ll be completely well by Wednesday. My hubby worked on reconciling accounts, making final preps for his Knights’ event on Saturday and pampering kitty. We were up reading until 2:00 am and awake before 6:00 this morning; I was not surprised that we could not hold our eyes open after lunch. Friday Lenten meals are a small baked fish dinner and that will be quick and easy. Hope you have fun plans for your weekend. We will probably sit in the rain and watch kids’ sports. Sunday is Parker’s 16th birthday party - fun times as usual. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe. “So, if the view outside your window begins to appear stale and boring, if the sounds that reach your ears fail to differentiate themselves into the diverse and thrilling chorus of a spring morning, then take another look. There are birds out there that we would seek out for their songs and colors, if they were rare. Since house finches are everywhere, we instead ignore them.” - Jack Gedney
