Just Singing (or shivering) in the Rain
Parker’s first game was scheduled for 10:00. We left home at 8:30, got there in time but it was delayed until 10:45 because they scheduled another game in front of ours. It drizzled until it really started to pour. Parker’s (no. 23) team lost the first game, tied the second and third games. His team played the first two games back to back. Then they had a two game break. We grabbed a burger and fries and ate in the warmth of our car. The flock of geese flew over during the second game. Wish I could have found my phone while they were flying over the field. We were not the only silly people at the game. Hubby and I had on our Frogg Toggs but my lower back was still soaked. We had a semi waterproof picnic blanket for our legs. Some folks did not even have umbrellas. We stopped at a seafood restaurant on the way home for a nice warm bowl of crab soup and a salad. We are trying to get to church for Mass and it will be close to 5:09 when we arrive. I hope your day was sunny. Thanks for the visit. Stay safe. "Being soaked alone is cold.
