Swamp Like

Everywhere is wet, the footpaths through the cemetery are covered in mould and slippery underfoot, the top inch or two in Boscawen Fields is liquid mud, the footpaths through Fox Rosehill Garden are underwater, everywhere is wet.
Today’s photo / the excess water running off is forcing its way through the gates and out into the sea off Hayle. The noise of the water against the gates is considerable as are the currents the flow is making.
There is the promise of more rain to come and I feel for the road repair workers out in this trying to maintain a schedule in works that are full of water when they turn up in the morning.
Here’s hoping for a scorching summer as compensation.

Mrs S has come down with the lurgy and is unwell, not at all like her, it normally gets shrugged off and service carried on as normal.
