The beholder's eye

We are not here, hiding under this leaf! - honest

After I finished work at 1.30 I had to go and pick my car up from the garage where it has been having a new clutch fitted. To say I am broke now would be a bit of an understatement to say the least! But on the flipside I may have no money at all but I do have my freedom again which is really important to me.
To celebrate (and to make sure the car really was no longer making the most appalling graunching noises My husband and I went for a return visit to Abinger Roughs to look for Bird's nest orchids and White helleborines reported to be growing there.
Sadly I found very little except a cloud of horrible Cleggs intent on vampire activities, and left largely empty handed. On the way out the car park I came across a patch of Solomon's seal, with nibbled leaves, these little beauties, the larvae of the Solomon's seal saw fly were hiding guiltily under the leaves and I feel worthy of a blip, not least because the 'mixed green' effect is pleasing.
On another note our tickets for America are now booked...we fly to Chicago with BA on sunday July 14th!! More to follow
