Memorial Bridge
Son R and I continued along the Hadrian's Wall path missing out the odd boring road bit but got fed up with walking into a biting easterly wind. I had the brainwave of getting our support driver (Mr P) to take us to Birdoswald so we could walk back towards Carlisle with the wind behind us. (And have a hot lunch in the English Heritage café) . R was pleased because he finally got to see some real stretches of original Wall on the ground. Back in Carlisle, R and I did some geocaching while Mr P went to find an EV charger.
Blip is the WW1 Memorial Bridge in Rickerby Park with R looking for clues. Extra is the ghost of Wall as we walked through fields against the wind and real Wall at last.
PS Having worked out how to do collages in Google photos I've loaded an extra for yesterday as well.
