Friday: Readers' World #1

I am often quite disturbed by how obsessively we tend to cling to our mobile devices, something that has been really well captured in Phoneworld.   Here is my antidote.  I am beginning a new series entitled 'Readers' World' to show that there are still readers of real books out there.  I have had this in mind for a while but was also inspired by Steve McCurry, whom I really admire.  My only criteria is that it must be a book, not a newspaper or magazine.  Anyway, let's see how I get on but this might be fun.  I would love it if you felt like joining in occasionally.

I loved the way that everything was going on around this reader while he was oblivious.

In other news, K.'s brother went home this morning after his week's visit.  K. drove him the three hours to Zadar and then drove back.  It may have been a convenient flight in that it flew out of Liverpool but the three hours there, and three hours back, made it a completely false economy so we aren't doing that again!
