Clearing skies

It has been a very long very wet day. A bit of shopping, a lot of tennis and then some Mozart.

Not much of a day for photographs.

11 pm and still no photo but there was just enough light to see the clouds were disappearing so I thought I'd capture that.

20 second exposure at f11 chosen for this one but it was still too dark so I have 'fiddled' with the lighting more than a little to show the horizon as clearly as this.

The road in the foreground is the A628 Trans Pennine route over the Woodhead pass - this section at Tintwistle.
