2 out of 3 ain't bad

Much discussion about the naming of today.  Mothering Sunday in the UK, but not Mothers' Day here - that's 12 May.  I wish I'd caught the look on #2 son's when he was told what today was.  And #3 wasn't forgotten.  He sent a message over the t'internet.

The day, however, started, with part 1 of packing to get the big suitcase done and over to HK, Then there was a bit of hanging around while the girls completed chores before we went to the pool for almost 2 hours.  It was hot and sunny.  I then had, yet another, trip to Jaya to get my contribution to the main event - a BBQ on the balcony.

The guests were friends of #1 and Wen Hui, J (whose birthday it was), S (whose husband is living with her son in Elrig, D&G, while she gets her spouse visa sorted and another J.  #2 arrived later after an afternoon at the driving range.

There was a lot of food, much chat of the challenges of living in rural SW Scotland, British comedians and stand up and a whole lot of other things.  The girls spent quite a lot if time on a Whats App chat to Teddy all those miles away.  They were in bed quite late given they have to be at at 5.30 tomorrow for the first day back at school.  

The rest of us sat on the balcony, with beer and wine, till nearly midnight.  No sight of the crescent moon when I came  back just before midnight for one last look at the KL skyline as the Twin Towers lights were extinguished at midnight. 

I tried to change the original photo on this and for some reason it's uploading sideways so it can't be seen.   Hopefully I will sort it!
