Nameless, But Not Forgotten
It was a beautiful morning to be able to come together with our church family to offer worship and praise to God and fellowship to each other, despite it being time change Sunday! After beginning our service with a congregational song, and being welcomed by Daniel, we were blessed to witness three baptisms before the choir ,orchestra and all our talented accompanists presented a prayerful rendition of "O Lord, My Rock And My Redeemer" with Tammy singing the solo parts. The congregational songs that followed the choir special were two of my favorite songs. Pastor Wes and his family were out of town today, so Matt filled the pulpit. He focused our attention on some important Biblical characters that we know only because of what they did with the little that they possessed----we don't even know the names of the widow who gave a small offering because it was all she had, the boy who gave Jesus his lunch and ended up providing enough food for a huge, hungry crowd, with leftovers or the Roman centurion who had enough faith that Jesus could heal his suffering servant with a word and yet, we remember them as examples of what Jesus can do when we offer Him what little we have to offer. My camera had some technical problems , so I wasn't able to get all the wall shots of the Scripture verses that I usually do, but you should be able to see where each passage is and go read it for yourself and it would be well worth your time to watch the Live-stream to see what Matt had to say about it. It doesn't matter whether you have much money, time ,talent or ability, what God is most interested in is your availability to Him.....
