Trisentona
Trisentona was the prehistoric river goddess, at the spiritual place where the Mease, Tame and Trent converge.
Last month, this stunning stone statue was unveiled in the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust reserve, Croxall Lakes. The sculptors are Miranda Wakeman and Geraint Lloyd.
I went to see her this morning, rather underestimating just how wet and flooded the area was. I determinedly walked through quite a few deep puddles and trainers, socks and trousers are now in the wash.
It was well worth the visit and I will return.
(Merlin and I both heard an oystercatcher.)
