Our resident footballer
Danny was up and out by 6,30am. He's off to the UK for his Masters graduation! It's a shame we can't all be there, but hey ho.
Nate enjoyed walking to school with both of us having a headphone each so we could listen to music.
Coffee with Anne and Natasha. It was lovely as ever, and extremely useful with Natasha as she was a social worker here for years. She gave me some good advice on dealing with someone who is particularly difficult. Encouraged me to go with what my gut is saying. Home then to get on with my essay before walking to collect Nate. We caught the bus home and met the new family at school. The mom was saying how hard it's been, the daughter has only been here 6 weeks (she's in Nate's class) but her and her husband have lived here 3 years! She had to leave the daughter with family whilst they found work and a flat and tried to create a life that will be better for them all. So incredibly hard... So they're all readjusting to life as a unit again. We've swapped numbers, she's told me she'll text every day!!!!!!
Asha and I took Nate to his training tonight. He did well, managed his nerves well and enjoyed his session. The big excitement was getting a new goldfish on the walk home - 'Harry' after Harry Potter.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Danny arriving in the UK safely.
2) Natasha's wisdom and encouragement.
3) Seeing a few Roma friends around today - one with a new fluffball puppy - soooo cute!
