Ominous Sky

Dark clouds rolling in backed up the forecast for rain tomorrow and created a dramatic sky overhead. Using the ultra wide angle lens to its fullest I featured the odd-one-out white rock in the foreground.

My options from this viewpoint were somewhat limited by trees either side, but the low viewpoint helps to minimise the otherwise vast area of featureless water and let the sky dominate.

Classic chrome film simulation increased contrast and desaturated a scene already lacking colour, making it more harmonious.

Not bad for a grey day.
