Dogwood Rain

No respite from the rain today, so nothing for it but to don a rain jacket and a brave face. It was a little misty and I had in mind a tree in the distance, but sadly it wasn't as interesting as I hoped.

Nearby were these dogwoods standing out brightly despite the gloom. I tried to keep the subdued tone of the image, it would be easy to add too much contrast or saturation and lose the essence of the subject.
