Magnificent Magnolia

So pleased to see these gorgeous blooms against a blue sky. (It's been a day of heavy showers and sunny intervals.)

This morning, neighbours from across the road came round for coffee and scones - which was nice - and mid-afternoon I went round to our daughter's. Lovely as ever to see the children. Granddaughter arrived home looking like a drowned rat, but fortunately she likes getting wet! So does her brother. Earlier, we'd taken him to play in the garden and he broke his heart when we brought him in just as it began to rain. We watched the torrents through the window and he still looked as if he longed to be out in it.
