Don't Fence Me In
Today I had to collect my car following its service and m.o.t yesterday. We decided to get the bus into town but ended up waiting at the bus stop for nearly half an hour. The first bus didn't turn up at all and the next one arrived several minutes early - or was that just the last one running very late? - either way its arrival bore no relation whatsoever to the actual timetable.
By the time we got back into town we were a bit grumpy so we decided to treat ourselves to another breakfast at the same 'Spoons as yesterday. This time we had a 'small' Full English each - which came out at less than a tenner for both!
Cheered up by our early repast it was time to pick my car up which is where my jocundity was somewhat dimmed as the bill was north of £400 but she had been given a clean inside and out and it was great to have her back looking her best despite the hit to my bank balance.
On the way home we stopped off back at The Friars (our local Carmelite Priory) for a spot of peace and quiet and a chance to get our blip images for the day. I hadn't seen anything until I spotted this gentleman through the gap in the fence at the entrance to the grounds as he strode purposefully along the avenue of trees.
