Pity The Poor Oxen

We went out today in D's new car.

It was very luxurious and very smooth and very fast. 

Unlike the ox cart we saw at Wilstone House and Garden, where there is an ecclectic mix of old and new. Antique and modern. Reclaimed stone, garden ornaments, hand carved wall art, antique indian furniture and lots more.

None of which would we want in our house, but it was very interesting and well worth a look..

The ox cart was crafted from tropical hardwood and iron fittings. It looked plenty heavy enough without the burden of a load of building materials or whatever it was used to transport. 

Poor ox, would have had a hard life.
