Strange fungus

Today there was no rain!!!!  

I left home before 9am and didn't make it back until 5:30pm - a whole day on the allotment. Jobs done include:

> helping with the shop
> kitchen and loo cleaning(I'm on duty this month)
> helping prune a friend's pear tree,
> distributing tree spinach seed and red-veined sorrel
> weeding a 16 m border
> planting the first early potatoes (see extra)

The strange fungus stuff is growing in the hotbed, where the radish have been attacked by slugs, but the corn salad has now germinated.  I'm hoping some of this experiment survive, but will get some more seed sown in modules in the polytunnel this week.
