My Meadow Monitor

Apparently, asleep at the switch.  My neighbor's coon cat is now monitoring my wee meadow most likely for field mice.  He stayed out there for almost 3 hours and even fell asleep waiting for some action.  The patience of cats is amazing.  The fact he isn't by the house makes me hope that the rats have abandoned the barn.  One can only hope.  Seeing the cat in the meadow reminded me of a very, VERY silly children's song...
