Off the rails.

Grange featured on the news this morning as the first train through this morning derailed just before Grange station.  The cause of the derailment is plain to see. If you look to the rear of the train in the taped off area you will see a big dip in the rails.where a wash out has occurred.  As this location coincides with a piped culvert under the rails it seems likely that this culvert has ruptured or a joint has failed and with all the recent rain we have had this has washed out the embankment.
