Ruth's card

A post-birthday catch-up with Ruth, Josh and the boys, when they called in on their way home from doing some weekend jobs at the farm.
The books they'd bought for my birthday hadn't arrived on the actual day, so today they gave me them, along with a card made by Ruth. She's fitted together some extracts from poems in The Poetry Review, to make something new and beautiful (there's a little extract, as a close-up, in the extra). 
I see that she and Josh are both quite stressed at the moment, with work choices and pressures. Ruth and I will be meeting up for a quiet lunch on Tuesday, when I'll probably get a clearer view.  Eben and Luca, on the other hand, are in excellent form.
