Sociable.

Long slow wanderings around a moody-skied Maputo, taking in landmarks and green havens such as o Palácio dos Casamentos, the Palace of Marriages. This building was originally constructed as the Hellenic Society by a group of Greek immigrants, and converted into a place for weddings by the Mozambican government after independence.

Based on recent events, an evening of high sociability and bonhomie. As always when I snap out of an introverted phase I find evenings with friends, supping beer and eating risotto as good for the soul. A group of us ended up talking until late at Píri Píri, one of Maputo’s well-known restaurants serving up chicken to the masses for decades.
