A walk at Wark
Brian, from the walking group, came this morning and we had a short walk by the river at Wark. (2.2 miles)
It was very sunny but the wind was cold.
We found this dead tree branch covered in lichens. The daffodils are out and it is a cheerful place to walk. Brian's wife, Jean, died last year so he had good advice for me from his experience.
We were back just in time for a visit from Mike and Barbara, old friends of Mum's.
Liz came this afternoon. I watched from the window as a neighbour's black cat caught and decimated one of our wood pigeons. I'm not keen on having pigeons, but they are pretty harmless. Our cats just ignore them.
Liz came and has agreed to do one of the readings at the funeral service.
The solicitor saw Mum's death in the paper and has been in touch for me to go in for an appointment. They were quick off the mark!
