The Evangelist
Tonight, I took Margret to St. Andrew’s Church in Corbridge to hear the St John’s Passion. It was Margret’s first evening outing since her stroke.
We went by wheelchair and car. The lightweight wheelchair that Mark obtained for her is not really good enough. It is not big enough and it needs servicing (imho). It’s hard to put the brakes on and be sure they are holding.
We made it.
The Bishop’s Consort is led by Bishop David Stancliffe. He has a tiny orchestra with period instruments and hand picked soloists. The sound was amazing.
I particularly liked the tenor soloist, Hugo Hymas, who sang the very demanding part of The Evangelist.
During the day I made the mounts and mounted 12 images to make two panels for tomorrow’s Tynedale Photo Group. I think I’m quite good at this, but it still takes me such a long time to do all the measuring and cutting. I’m happy with the results.
