Turns out there’s a music promoter in Emsworth call Wemfest who mainly presents folk and brother Jono and sil Sue bought us all tickets for Christmas to go and see Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham who we’ve all enjoyed over the years. They are fiddle and accordion player and their set is a mix of traditional, traditional style folk, gentle chat nd from Phil mildly off colour jokes. It was a great evening and we had dinner in a local restaurant called JJs beforehand. Quite eccentric but the food was good.
I tried to take pics of them playing but they are too blurry to use and I liked this sight of their chairs and instruments waiting neatly for the second half to begin.
Previously I had worked in the barn office mainly trying to reconcile the new post production schedule with my calendar. Two good walks in the morning and lunchtime kept the steps up.
