for a change I used a telephoto lens to mimic closeness. shooting at minimum focus distance ( 1 m ) and zooming in. Also, I shot with an APSC camera. Essentially then 430mm.
Using a fast  shutter speed allows me to hand hold, as no IBIS (in body image stabilisation)
