View from hotel balcony

A scorcher today! Walked to the Lido just around the corner which followed the lake. Lots of people picnicking and sunbathing. Lovely. Then we decided to go on around the corner, as we do, and carried on for about 4k in the heat! But it was all along the lakeside.

When the lakeside finished, we found a few shops along the main road and Michael bought some new walking sandals and a wallet. That's the birthday present sorted then! I am not having much luck as everything I want, they don't have my size! Did buy a leather handbag for myself yesterday though.

Came back to the hotel and sat outside in the shade, too hot to sit out in it. Had to keep my ipad out of the sun though as it shut itself down the other day as it overheated! View is from the hotel balcony this evening and we have been informed that the house with the grey tower on the right is Michael Schumacher's house!

The Blues Brothers Musical is on tonight on a stage just outside the front of the hotel and they have been practising the music most of the afternoon. Brilliant. The band is excellent. Will be going to watch it tonight.

Going on a lake tour tomorrow for the day on a coach and ferry so hopefully will be lunching in Malcesine, hope so anyway.
