Goodbye Freddy

We had to have Freddy put to sleep this afternoon. It was a horrible shock as even though he had been unwell we weren’t expecting to loose him, but it turned out he had Lymphoma, and all his panting and pacing was because he was in pain and I simply couldn’t let him suffer.
It is the end of an era for us, the first time in 27 years we haven’t had a dog. The house feels very empty this evening :-(
