Murals
I'm beginning to collect images of murals for the current phase of ArtUK public art recording work. They are challenging to capture though, at least those that are on a large scale. As ArtUK volunteers, we're not meant to correct perspective, when editing; the corrections can produce distortions in the image of the art work. But without corrections, there are all sorts of non-vertical walls and windows on surrounding buildings that I find very distracting.
So it's been a bit of a trial run today really. There are some I'll go back to, with a different lens, aiming to do a better job.
Meanwhile, here's some work by Phlegm, a street artist whose work is well-known around here. The main is a piece that's at least 10 years old, on the back of a now-closed secondhand book and record shop (the much-lamented 'Rare and Racy'). The extra was made this year. There's more information here:

I like his work. It's full of mystery and fantasy, and also has quite a solemn, almost mournful quality.
