In the consulting room
Dr Frieda, hard at work with her medical bag on hand.
A quiet morning, and then I met Ruth for lunch - a rare opportunity for a quiet catch-up together.
After that, I met Frieda from pre-school and she came home to have tea at ours with me and Richard. She was on good form; the doctor's bag is a regular favourite, and the play tent creates a good make-believe consulting room. Later I took Frieda home, and had a great chat with Jack about the MA project he's working on (a documentary photography project in the Dearne valley, spending time with farmers who are participating in initiatives about sustainable farming practices).
In other news... yesterday's UN security council call for a ceasefire in Gaza was welcome, but has been met with a withdrawal from peace talks by the Israeli government. I feel a need to record these events, desperate and heart-breaking as they are. But what to say? Other than to witness them.
