A wall of …..

….. ….. ….. Virginia Creeper, in Arrowtown.

People are piling into Arrowtown for Easter. It was hard to get a park, even way down by the river.

There was more snow on the tops overnight and during the day too, especially on the Remarkables. A nasty cold wind made the most of that snow cold, but out of the wind it was quite warm, especially when the sun came out.

This evening I went to a Maundy Thursday service at church, put together by a dear couple who’d put a lot of thought into it. There were sound bytes, starting with a donkey clip clopping and then a recorded scripture reading, about Jesus riding on a donkey into Jerusalem. The focus was on how the hours were for Jesus before the crucifixion, how he handled it and how the disciples handled it too. It was all incredibly moving.
