Defeated Jackdaws on the feeders at breakfast time

They really tried every which way on all the feeders and had to admit defeat!
Soon after they left the usual birds came back. The robins, the coal tits, bluetits and house sparrows.
The Wood pigeons hoover up any seed which is dropped.
And our Great Spotted Woodpecker comes occasionally early on. We could hear him yesterday drumming very loudly in the trees opposite.
It is such an unmistakable sound.
Now my virus has cleared we are going to see Bobbie in the Care Home this afternoon.
Maundy Thursday today.
I wonder if the old traditional Maundy money will be handed out this year, with the Royal Family being depleted at the moment….
