Farewell lunch with Maria

Italian classes at Isituto David end this Friday for Gail and me. Maria, who has been in Gail’s class, wanted a chance to talk with us so we had a leisurely lunch at Mammamia in central Florence. She’s from Brazil and already fluent in English and French. Her understanding of Italian is way beyond her knowledge of the grammar. Maria loves to dance and she shared her favorite songs with me on Spotify.

Friday will be a bittersweet parting from school and Sunday from Florence.
