Porta Romana, Florence

Porta Romana, a 13th century gate into the city, is near the apartment we rented for the month. After the rain ended, a bit of sunshine came through. We had been at the Pitti Palace at the end of a wall that extended from the gate. We were not impressed with the paintings at the Pitti Palace, though we appreciated the few by Tintoretto and Raffaello, and two by Pissarro.
