Wintery Throwback
Thankfully, pain is less after resting yesterday, but it’s still annoyingly there. The ever-patient G takes me on a morning outing in the car - a relatively early departure to catch the sunshine before the clouds close in and rain stops play.
I know that there’s been snow overnight, and sure enough, the mountains are looking beautiful - an unexpected wintery throwback with sunlit white slopes stunning against the relatively clear blue skies.
Time is of the essence; as we drive down the valley, clouds are gathering so by the time we reach Eryri’s heart, the mountains stand majestically against a more dramatic backcloth.
Always beautiful, snow undeniably adds to Eryri’s magic and it’s inevitably a snowy mountain set today; the main a classic shot of Yr Wyddfa taken from Llynnau Mymbyr, hints of reflection in the not-quite-mirror waters, with others taken from our wintry circuit. As usual, I’m not sure whether I’ve made the correct choice!
