Sweet enough to eat.

These pretty dresses in the bridal shop window remind me of sugared almond sweets, which I love. I didn't know, until today, that sugared almonds have been linked to Greek & Italian weddings as far back as 1350.Traditionally , five sugar almonds represent-health, wealth, happiness, good luck and fertility, to remind us that life is both bitter & sweet..  The fifth colour, was the wedding dress in the corner window, which was lilac.
