International Mermaid Day

The sun was out and I wanted to celebrate International Mermaid Day, I put a message on the swim girls group chat but the only person who replied was Lou…who had already been for a swim (why oh why didn’t I decide to swim first thing in the morning…doh). I wanted to go back up on the Moors and swim in the daylight, I sent Pat a txt to see if she fancied a trip up to Saddleworth and she did…hurrah.

I took my drone but it was very windy so didn’t bother using it. It was gloriously sunny, but very chilly and the water was about 6°. I was in for about fifteen minutes whilst Pat stayed well wrapped up lol. I absolutely loved it, I think this might be my new favourite swim spot.
