Goldfinch a-singing!

This year has been a bumper year for Goldfinches who are much in evidence singing cheerfully from the tops of trees and TV aerials. This particular ones is my local who likes to choose prominent tops at the front or back of the house. However he was just not playing ball when I had my long lens out today and moved to a tree at the end of the garden, so I am sorry that the picture is a bit fuzzy (definitely not really up to blip standard).

But I caught him in the act of tinkling his little ditty for our pleasure, and his territory.
