Sparrow .....

..... in the sun.

I've had a lovely day out with LondonSparrow ( M ) today. We met up at the London Wetland Centre where the BBC were holding various activities as part of their summer of wildlife. Although we didn't take part in any of the activities ( apart from watching a bit of a talk on wildlife photography ) we had a very full seven hours photographing everything from bees to very friendly lady otters. We were joined for an hour or so by one of M's friends, Katya. This photo was taken as Katya was topping up her water bottle from a fountain.

After leaving the LWC, M and I had an enjoyable walk along the south side of the Thames and then over Hammersmith bridge where we had a drink outside one of the pubs on the waterfront ( along with a lot of other Londoners ). Once we'd finished our drinks we had a stroll along the river path and then M very kindly treated me to a very tasty veggie South-Indian meal from one of her favourite restaurants.

It's been the hottest day of the year so far and I think M may have caught a bit of sun. I've had a great day ( thanks again M ) and have added a few more from today in a set here. As she was such lovely company, today's blip is .....
