Mother and Baby Forest Chamois …

… came out of the trees when the föhn wind finally stopped today. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Despite the heavy sky, laden with Sahara sand, we had a few moments of brightness when 4 Red Kites flew overhead and the first tatty alpine crocuses had pushed through the dry winter grass. A real sign of spring (extras). 

All the télécabines in our area are closed because of the föhn, it is such a shame for the skiers, and for the locals who depend on this short holiday window to finish the ski season.

Update on Preston… he has his new cast and shouted so loudly in the vets’ today I am sure he also has a sore throat as well as knee, poor lad.

The film did not happen last night, the cinema made a mistake and had the French version! Tomorrow perhaps.
