Avebury

Had a nice day out in Avebury with lozarithm. Unfortunately Avebury Manor, whose refurbishment was featured in the TV series with Penelope Keith, is shut on Wednesdays but there is plenty of other stuff so see and do, including the largest stone circle in the world. Much of the village, and these isolated stones, are within the stone circle, which itself is within a huge circular henge. This picture shows a small section of one quadrant.
