Another fab day in Lille.
K's friend J came and met us for breakfast.
A lovely walk around the citadel.
A beer in the square.
A waffle.
A walk to the birth place of Charles de Gaulle, they were fully booked.
A walk back and flammekeuche for tea.

What a lovely day.
K and I were assistantes de langue vivante about 29 years ago in Péronne, not far from Lille. She lives in Essex and we hardly ever see each other, but when we do it's like we've not spent time apart. We talk about anything and everything, and laugh and laugh. I feel so lucky to have her as my friend.
