Easter Monday
Out the door at 6am with Birdsong coming from every corner. Blackbirds, chiff chaffs and wrens being the most vocal. Lovely light as the Sun began to rise.
Back for breakfast with auntie before I was sent off to search for some custard tarts!
The three shops that were open today in Great Torrington all had custard tart tickets at the front of empty shelves;)
I prepared auntie a midday meal of leftover Sunday roast vegetables and freshly cooked sausages.
A cycling friend and coached client drove over from Cranbrook and we enjoyed a lovely meal at RHS and the Rosemoor restaurant and a lovely wonder around the beautiful gardens.
Later lovely L arrived with lovely Logan and we hiked around the commons for 2 hours in gorgeous evening sunshine listening and watching an abundance of wildlife. Plus a couple of rainbows.
An early morning view from the castle battlements in the extra.
