Cow Parsley Beetle
I spotted my first ever umbellifer longhorn beetle in the garden a few weeks ago and have decided to feature one today. It's quite possibly the same one. There's a west-facing, sunny area in the garden where I have left the cow-parsley to grow as I love the froth of white in May.
Our garden area is quite large and after shooting insects there yesterday I've decided not to cut all the grass. I'm going to cut paths for Mishka and me and leave the rest, as I'm spending a lot more time in the garden now. I know that Mishka is safe and she can be off the lead. The unkempt sward will be better for wildlife and provide me with more subjects to photograph.
PS I'd forgotten that I photographed one on 10th May 2022.
