Bramble Blackcap
I went to Longlands Hide for a change of scenery, leaving Mishka in the van. It's a bit of stimulation for her as she can bark at passing dogs. The feeders were empty and nothing was showing. Then I heard, Tac, tac, tac. It was the call of a blackcap. The first I have heard in 2024. Soon afterwards I spotted the bird in an alder and got some rubbish shots. I was on the point of giving up and going home when I heard the blackcap's beautiful fluting song coming from a bramble bush. Eventually it showed itself and I got the above shot.
